  1. Will iPan improve the image resolution of my panoramic x-rays?

  2. Resolution is determined by the host panoramic machine's geometry, motion profile, and X-ray tube focal spot. iPan images will have the same resolution, as measured by a line pair phantom, as film.

  3. What modifications are made to my present panoramic x-ray machine when iPan is installed?

  4. There are NO permanent modifications. The iPan system adds on to the current system, replacing film packs (drum types) or film cassettes. If the iPan system is removed, the host panoramic machine is returned to its previous condition.

  5. How do I view iPan images?

  6. Any Windows PC workstation running Schick CDR DICOM or EagleSoft 11 or higher software with access to the iPan image storage drive has the capability of viewing iPan images.

  7. Can I use my iPan PC to take intraoral images?

  8. Yes, desktop PCs can be set up to acquire panoramic and intraoral X-rays. The iPan USB Interface (for panoramic images) and the USB Remote Module (for intraoral images) can be connected to USB ports on the same PC to support their respective imaging modes.

  9. Can iPan images be printed?

  10. iPan images are printed much like CDR intraoral images. Images look best on compatible inkjet or laser printers set for high resolution, landscape mode, on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. This will print an image similar in size to a panoramic film.
